Outfit Details: SKIRT || BOOTIES || HAT ||
Everyone needs a skirt in their closet that can be styled to fit every occasion. This skirt does that for me. It is the perfect length, non sheer, has the cutest button detailing, elastic waist… need I say more? This skirt is one of my wardrobe essentials. These are the pieces that mix and match effortlessly with other items in your wardrobe. This is perfect for several reasons:
First of all, to save money. With bills, rent, and other grownup responsibilities, it is seriously painful to purchase a piece of clothing and only wear it a handful of times. You want to feel like you’re getting the most bang for your buck.
Second, I can be a little lazy. I love the idea of a having a 30-piece interchangeable wardrobe for that aspect. Everything pairs together with hardly any effort. I could never do it, but this skirt gives me a taste of what my minimalist self would be like.
This past weekend, I paired the skirt with a simple white top and booties to run errands. It looked fancier than wearing sweats, but it still featured a waistband ;). I also posted this look a week ago with tennis shoes. I went on a cruise over Christmas and I wore the skirt for a semi-formal night. I just added velvet flats, a striped mockneck top, and dark lips. The skirt would also look so good with an oversized white sweater and knee boots.
This is one of my must-have basics! What’s yours?
