I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the week! This look was from back in December (how is it already February!!!). We went to see Moana, which I am sure everyone has seen by now, and it was seriously the perfect outfit for the weekend. Basically my Saturday uniform. The sneaker trend is one of my absolute favorite trends right now and I love all the fun styles to choose from.
Also, since the New Year I feel like I have been stuck in a rut. I have so many goals for how I want this blog to be and have basically gotten so overwhelmed with everything I have just come to a standstill. I’m in the middle of moving and found my New Years Resolution from last year and realized I DIDN’T KEEP A SINGLE THING ON MY LIST. How depressing is that?! It made me feel like I wasted all last year chasing my goals without seeing very many results.
So this time around, I am trying to refocus my energy into what is most important. My past resolutions focused on huge changes in every aspect of my life. From not exercising, to exercising 6 days a week, while all of a sudden becoming a morning person probably isn’t going to magically happen just because the calendar says it’s a new year. One thing I am trying to start incorporating is small changes. Maybe exercise at least 20 minutes a day, try getting up 10 minutes earlier, etc. We are creatures of habit so taking baby steps will get me into the direction of my goals without the overwhelming feeling.
My company chooses motivational books to read in our spare time and then we come together to discuss them. We then try to apply them to our work life, as well as our personal life. Our book for this month is The One Thing and oh my goodness, you all need it in your life. Here are a few quotes from it.
“Success is sequential, not simultaneous”
“Focus is a matter of deciding what things you’re NOT going to do.”
“If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one.”
I am so excited to start applying it into my life! I hope everyone has an amazing Monday and reaches for their goals!
